Nestled between Southern California’s largest natural lake, Lake Elsinore, the Ortega Mountains and the Cleveland Natural Forest, the Links at Summerly’s stunning par-72, nearly 7,000-yard layout was designed by renowned golf course architect Cal Olson to fit seamlessly into the landscape – incorporating natural mounding, pristine rolling terrain and three miles of Scottish-style burns to provide the look and feel of traditional links-style courses of the British Isles. Kidney-shaped bunkers abound, while numerous twists and turns will challenge golfers of all skill levels to use every club in their bag in order to navigate this breathtaking masterpiece.
“Golfers will need to use their imagination, be creative and improvise,” says Olson. “Every hole has been designed to provide golfers with a variety of playing strategies, as well as offer an authentic, traditional Scottish-style golf experience in a serene, natural setting. From the traditional design of the course to the array of outstanding amenities, the Links at Summerly will offer Southern California golfers a truly unique experience. The Links at Summerly features one of the area’s best practice facilities. With over 30 natural turf or artificial turf hitting areas and high quality practice balls our practice facility is well suited for those who want to refine their skills or just shake off the rust before a round.
While practicing, golf school students can select from the numerous target greens placed throughout the 10 acre landing area. Additionally, Summerly offers both a 9,000 square foot putting green and a 16,000 square foot short game green. This area features a chipping area, putting area, and a place to practice your greenside bunker shots.
